Wildlife drawing contest

Do you love to draw?

Does our city’s wildlife make your heart go pitter-patter?

Well, grab your crayons, sharpen those pencils, warm up that stylus and bust out those paints because Calgary Parks is holding a wildlife drawing contest!

We want to see your best rendition of native wildlife that lives in Calgary’s parks. Pick your model from the following list:

  • Moose
  • White-tailed Deer
  • Porcupine
  • Beaver
  • Canada Goose
  • Great Grey Owl
  • Mallard Duck
  • Pheasant
  • Black-capped Chickadee
  • Kingfisher
  • Bobcat
  • Snowshoe Hare
  • Tiger Salamander
  • Western Toad
  • Garter Snake
  • Rainbow Trout
  • Mourning Cloak Butterfly

Our contest is open to anyone in Calgary — any age, any ability! Whether you’re a kid who just loves drawing and animals or a professional artist sketching to impress, we want to see what you’ve got.

An impartial jury of Calgary Parks’ staff will judge the entries. We’re looking for originality, not perfection!
