Maple Ridge Golf Course Construction

Will the 2023 season be affected?

Maple Ridge will begin the 2023 season with 15-hole play while construction on holes 13 & 14 is completed and turf re-establishes.

Why are we closing 3 holes?

Deerfoot trail is being widened at the southland interchange and as a result we will be completely rebuilding hole 13 with more variety to the tee box lengths and a more receptive greens complex. Hole 14 will be shortened to a long par 4 to accommodate the widening of the Deerfoot and Southland interchange. Hole 15 will be temporarily closed to play to allow for better traffic control and contractor access.

Does this closure change the rates?

Yes, some rates have been modified. The modified Rates cannot be combined with any other discounted offers or programs. The lowest rate will be applied for customers who are participating in any 2022 discount opportunities & programs.

Will the course be reduced to a Par 71?

Yes, hole 14 will become a par 4 and the course will be a par 71. There are no plans to lengthen any existing holes.

Is there a visual of what the new holes will look like?

Will the course be rerated before the beginning on next season?

Yes, it will be rerated early next season but it will likely not be to be completed prior to opening day.

Are the distressed tee boxes/greens getting repaired when holes 13 and 14 are being redone?

Yes, we will be using the sod from hole 13 as much as we can to repair the putting surfaces on other holes. We are also looking at prioritizing some tee boxes for resodding early in the 2023 season and planning on rebuilding some tee boxes, most notably the forward tee on hole 10.

Will construction affect Twilight, Late day 9s, Quick 6, and Early morning Back 9 tee times?

Twilight play will be 15 holes with Late Day 9s and Quick 6 play unaffected. Early morning Back 9 play will change to 6-holes (10, 11, 12, 16, 17 & 18) and be charged at a reduced rate.
