Crowchild Trail Upgrades

Project Update: September 10, 2021

Major upgrades for this short-term improvements project were completed in Fall 2020. The new lanes are open, traffic flow has been improved over the Bow River and we hope you’re taking advantage of the increased connectivity to our pathway network.

From now through to the end of this construction season, expect to see a few skeleton crews on-site taking care of some final touch-ups (along Crowchild Trail, between 5 Avenue N.W. and Bow Trail). To ensure the least amount of inconvenience, they’ll only be on-site during off-peak hours (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.).

Northbound Crowchild Trail

Monday, December 7 (11 p.m.) to Tuesday, December 8 (3 a.m.):

Watch for a double right-hand lane closure along northbound Crowchild Trail (between the Bow Trail and 10 Avenue ramps).
As part of this work, the westbound Bow Trail ramp will be closed intermittently for 10 minutes at a time.

Southbound Crowchild Trail

No closures

Monday, December 7 (10 p.m.) to Tuesday, December 8 (5 a.m.):

FULL CLOSURE of the 10 Avenue ramp.
