How to dispose of plumbing parts and pipes

Small quantities of plumbing parts

Put small quantities of PVC pipes, metal pipes, valves and fittings in your black cart as garbage.

Size restrictions

Pieces must be less than:

  • 15 cm (six inches) in diameter
  • 1.25 m (four feet) in length

Make sure the lid of the cart can close.

Large quantities of plumbing parts

Some private metal recyclers may buy scrap metal, charge a fee or accept items for free. Find a list of locations at Alberta's Recycling Hotline or The Yellow Pages under Metal Recycling

Take large quantities of plumbing parts from a renovation or demolition to a City landfill. Landfill charges will apply.
