International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Accessible services and programs | Accessibility and disability in Calgary | Advisory Committee on Accessibility | Accommodations and services for accessibility

Every year on December 3rd, people around the world celebrate contributions of people with disabilities. First declared by the United Nations in 1992, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) draws attention to the many ways in which those with disabilities enrich our communities.

Many people with disabilities have so much to contribute to our communities. We support people with disabilities through a variety of programs and services; learn more at calgary.ca/accessibility.
