Swim, learn to swim, dance and so much more is available here. Thornhill Aquatic & Recreation Centre in Northwest Calgary offers martial arts and loads of fitness opportunities. Take a steam or soak in the hot tub, swim lengths or simply enjoy fun and fitness with friends and family. Work up a sweat in our fully equipped weight room with cardio equipment or meet some friends in a fitness class in our aerobics room. We also offer a variety of classes, both drop-in and registered, in aerobics, fitness, aquacize, and deep water. Try one today.

About Thornhill Aquatic and Recreation Centre

The Thornhill Aquatic and Recreation Centre has a number of features and amenities for you and your family to enjoy, including:

  • An indoor, 25-metre salt water swimming pool with six lanes. Depth ranges from 1.1 to 1.4 metres. Temperature varies from 28.5 to 30 °C.
  • A dive pool with 1-metre diving board. Pool depth is 3 to 3.7 metres. Temperature varies from 28.5 to 29 °C.
  • A hot tub / whirlpool.
  • A steam room.
  • A weight room with modern cardio equipment.
  • Fitness studio / Multi-purpose room (available for rent).
  • Special needs change room.
  • Babysitting (All babysitters are certified with Standard First Aid and Basic Rescuer CPR training).

This facility also offers a number of registered and drop-in aquatic and fitness classes.
