You're invited to City Hall 101, a workshop presentation designed to throw open the doors of your municipal government.

Learn about the inner workings of Council and its Committees. Explore the many ways you can connect with your City, Mayor, and Councillors.

What you'll see and do

The workshop features videos, short presentations, and interactive activities including:

  • visiting important locations including Historic City Hall, the Municipal Complex, Council Chambers, and the Council Committees meeting room;
  • sitting in on a Council meeting live in Council Chambers;
  • meeting City of Calgary staff and learning about how you can connect with The City and politicians on issues that matter to you; and
  • learning how to make presentations to Council and Committees with tips on being prepared to "own the podium."

City Hall 101 gives you the tools and confidence to better connect with City Council and make your voice heard in City government.

Your hosts

City Hall 101 is hosted by the Mayor’s Civic Engagement Committee, and 3 Things for Calgary, with enthusiastic support from the City Clerk's Office.
