Recycle it

You can take fluorescent light tubes (up to 4 ft. lengths), free of charge, to any of The City landfill Throw 'n' Go areas or designated fire stations as part of the Household Hazardous Waste Program.
 
Please only recycle a few at a time. If you have a large amount of fluorescent light tubes, or if they are longer than 4 feet, please take them to The City landfill Throw 'n' Go areas.

Dispose of it safely

Up to six fluorescent light tubes at a time can be packaged properly and placed in your black cart. Wrap them separately in paper then place them in a bag and tie closed.

Commercial

Dispose of it safely

Shepard Landfill is the only landfill that accepts commercial quantities of fluorescent light tubes.
 
For commercial quantities a permit may be required. Complete an online service request or contact 311. Charges may apply.​​​​​​
