To work for The City of Calgary, applicants must:
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or
  • Have a valid work permit

Other than the above, The City of Calgary can only consider international applications for job postings when the individual qualifies to work under a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) exempt category.

International and Cross-Canada Qualifications

The City of Calgary requires applicants with training and credentials outside of Canada to have proof of Canadian qualifications or certified equivalencies. Internationally trained applicants are encouraged to have their education credentials certified through an approved Canadian assessment service.
