Overview of the Community Standards Bylaw
Balconies, decks, fences, porches and stairs must be kept in “Good Repair”.
“Good Repair” means a condition where something is free from:
- significant damage
- peeling surfaces
- broken, missing, or fallen parts
- rot or other significant deterioration
- openings which are not secured
- other visual evidence of a lack of general maintenance.
Fines for violations of these regulations range between $100 and $300.
