Frequently asked questions
Where can I find my access code?
An access code is a secure code unique to each property, and it can be found on your mailed assessment notice. If you can’t find it, you can request one.
When do you need an access code?
Once you create your myID account and login, you can use the search functions, mapping, and sales search without an access code.
You will need the property roll number and its associated access code to show assessment information and tax bills specific to your property in myTax.
Once you have linked your myID account with your assessment information using your roll number and access code, you do not have to repeat this process again unless there is a change in ownership. For example, even if you receive a supplementary assessment during the year, the access code will be the same as what was on your annual assessment notice.
If there are multiple owners for a given property, the assessment notice with the access code will be mailed to the address we have on file for the business or property. Each myID account can have unlimited properties linked.
Where can I find my roll number?
Every property has its own unique 9-digit roll number. Find the roll number on your assessment notice, property tax bill, or statement of account.
If you don't have a copy of these documents available, find your roll number and other property details online:
- Open the Chatbot, and select Get Specific Property Information
- Search by Address, making sure to follow the sample format
- Your roll number and other property assessment information will be displayed
Alternatively, you can find your roll number on myTax. It will also show roll numbers for parking and storage units. Follow these steps:
- Visit myTax. Under Public Access, click Search, and accept the Terms of Use.
- Search by address to find the property.
- Select the checkbox beside the property address, then click Export Selected Property Report.
- Open the downloaded report to find the roll number at the top
