2026 Community Clean-up
Overview
Dispose of unusable or broken household items easily and in the right way.
Each year, The City partners with community organizations and volunteers to host community cleanups – helping residents dispose of items that don’t fit in the black cart supporting a cleaner, safer city.
Who Can Attend and When
All Calgarians are welcome at any community cleanup, regardless of where they live. If you can’t make the event in your own neighborhood, you can drop off items at another cleanup location. No commercial or contractor waste will be accepted. The 2026 community cleanups run city-wide from April 25 through September 27, with events scheduled on weekends.
Get Involved
Community Cleanups are organized and run by community volunteers. Contact your local Community Association for questions about event details or to sign up to volunteer.
