Speed Reductions in Ward 8
Overview
As part of the Drive to Zero initiative, the City is implementing safety traffic improvements across Calgary.
A city-wide review of collector roadways currently posted at 50 km/h is underway. Through this process, several locations in Ward 8 have been identified for a permanent speed limit reduction to 40 km/h.
Timeline
Implementation of these changes is expected between May and August 2026.
