Calgary Subdivision and Development Appeal Board

2025 SDAB scheduling changes - effective Sept. 1, 2025

To manage the growing number of appeals in 2025, the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) is updating its scheduling process. These changes aim to reduce delays in hearing and concluding appeals.

The Calgary Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (Board) hears appeals of decisions made by the City of Calgary’s Subdivision Authority and Development Authority.

Most of the Board’s hearings are virtual. They are conducted in the Dale Hodges Memorial Virtual Hearing Room.

The Board has adopted Procedural Guidelines to set out the process of appeals.
All participants should review these guidelines.
