Information for sex offenders
The National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR) is a national registration system for sex offenders who have been released into the community. The registry is administered by the province.
Sex offenders are obligated by court order to:
- Register within seven (7) days of conviction and/or release from prison.
- Report and re-register annually at the appropriate registration centre.
- Notify the NSOR of any change of address or absence from any main or secondary residence of more than seven days. A change of address must be reported within 7 days of the move.

Calgary Registration Centre
Location: 5111 - 47 St. N.E, East Building
Hours: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
No appointments are necessary, however waiting times may vary.
Sex offender reporting requirements
Sex offenders completing the initial registration and annual re-registration have the following requirements:
- Must report in person.
- Must bring two pieces of government-issued ID, at least one of which must be picture ID.
- For initial registration only, must bring the Notice of Obligation to Comply with Sex offender Information Registration Act.
Sex offenders registering an address change and/or absence notification paperwork have the following requirements:
- Must report in person.
- Must bring two pieces of government-issued ID, at least one of which must be picture ID.
