YAB Youth Advisory Board

The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) was established to act as a liaison between the CPS and youth communities in Calgary. It has been tasked with making recommendations to the Calgary Police Service on strategies and initiatives to address crime prevention and safety concerns of youth communities. It has also been tasked with helping to disseminate information to youth communities including via school, social media and peer networks.

The Youth Advisory Board is entering it’s fourth term and is looking for student volunteers aged 14 to 18.

Applications

The application deadline is Oct. 31, 2024. If you would like to submit a video application, please answer the questions on pages 4 and 5 of the PDF application form in video format, and submit by sending a private YouTube link, or other format, to youthadvisoryboard@calgarypolice.ca.

The board will hold its first meeting in September 2024 with regular meetings starting in October 2024 to June 2025.
