Cyber Business Academy

The Calgary Police Service is excited to be hosting a cyber education session for local small businesses!

To kick off Cyber Security Awareness Month, members of the CPS Cyber/Forensics Unit will host a presentation that will teach small businesses about how they can protect themselves against cyberattacks, how they can protect business and customer data and what cyber tips they should be teaching their employees. This session is meant for small businesses that do not have the knowledge, resources or capacity to hire a cyber expert.

When: Tuesday, October 3, 2017, 7 to 9 p.m.

Where: Calgary Police Service Headquarters, East Building, 5111 47 St. N.E.

Who: Registration is open to any business with less than 10 employees and is limited to two representatives from each company. Attendees do not need to have knowledge of cyber security or IT prior to the session.

What types of businesses will benefit from this? Anyone. This is open to businesses operating in all industries, such as medical offices, consultants, retailers, restaurants, salons, construction businesses, transportation companies, child care facilities, recreation businesses and other professional or technical services.
