Alarm Permit Online Portal

To better serve Calgarians, our online portal now offers multiple different languages. This new feature can be found in a language dropdown menu on the right-hand side of your screen in the Alarm Users Online Portal.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our False Alarm Management System (FAMS); an online portal for Calgarians that have an alarm system in their home or business, and for alarm companies.

Alarm users

Anyone who has an alarm in their residence or commercial property is considered an alarm user and is required to have an alarm permit.

Alarm users can use the online portal to:

  • Get a new permit 
  • Update current permit information
  • Renew a permit
  • Pay for a new or renewed permit

PLEASE NOTE: Permit renewal fees can be paid without creating a username if your information has not changed. However, we encourage all permit holders to create a username, which must be done with the email address we have on file. 

To add or change an email address on your permit, please call 403-428-8336 during business hours.

Alarm companies

Alarm companies can use the online portal to:

  • Register with us as a new alarm company
  • Update alarm company information
  • Update registered permit holder account statuses
  • Pay false alarm penalties
  • Submit a request for review of an issued false alarm penalty
