Put compostable coffee pods into your black cart as garbage.
Empty out coffee grounds into your green cart for composting.
Even if they are labelled as “biodegradable” or “compostable”, they still belong in the garbage.
Why can't this be recycled or composted?
Compostable coffee pods don't break down quickly enough for The City's composting process and may contain synthetic, plastic or other non-compostable materials.
