How to recycle ice cream cartons

Put into your blue cart or take to a community recycling depot
Put empty and clean cardboard ice cream containers and lids:
- Into your blue cart for recycling
- Take to a community recycling depot
Special instructions
- Lids with a plastic rim cannot be recycled. Put in your black cart as garbage.
- Rinse out the carton before recycling.
Why can't this be composted?
Cartons have a plastic lining to prevent the container from becoming soggy. To ensure we are creating the highest quality compost possible, leave this item out of your green cart.
