How to dispose of non-stretchy plastic bags
Examples of non-stretchy bags and packaging
- Cereal and cracker box liners
- Fruit bags used for grapes and cherries
- Vegetable bags used for prewashed spinach or salad kits
- Cheese string wrappers
- Food pouch bags used for items like frozen fruit and beef jerky
- Cleaning bags and wrappers for baby wipes and cleaning wipes (sometimes may have a resealable cover)
- Woven plastic bags (similar to a tarp) used for rice, pet food, onions etc.

Put into your black cart
Put non-stretchy plastic bags and film into your black cart as garbage. This includes stiff and crinkly bags, even if it has a recycling number on it.
TIP: If the bag does not stretch, rip or tear, it's not recyclable.
