Take to a special drop-off location
Take usable beer can holders (also known as PakTech can holders) back to a Calgary brewery to be reused again. Options include:
- Tool Shed Brewing (4 and 6 can holders)
- Annex Ales (4 and 6 can holders)
- Village Brewery (4 and 6 can holders)
- Other Paktech recycling locations (including broken six-pack and four-pack beverage lids)
Why can’t this be recycled in the blue cart?
Even if they have a recycling symbol on it, this type of can holder is incompatible with the sorting machines and ends up contaminating the other recyclables.
