Construction

SE Construction includes building:

• 16 kilometres of LRT track
• 10 stations
• Two Park and Ride facilities 
• Shepard Maintenance and Storage Facility
• 28 Light Rail Vehicles
• Transit hubs, new roads and bus connections to stations
• Urban realm improvements including multi-use pathways
• Pathways across bridges at Bow River, Deerfoot Trail and Blackfoot Trail
• Two river crossings
• Guideway (elevated and at grade)

Construction of the SE Segment, from Shepard to Event Centre/Grand Central Station, began in summer 2025.
