CN Highfield Track and Tunnel in southeast Calgary.

The CN Highfield Tunnel was built to allow the Green Line to travel under the Canadian National Railway tracks via a tunnel between Highfield Station and 26 Avenue S.E. Station.

  • Reconfigured, re-profiled, constructed and removed associated CN tracks.
  • Constructed a tunnel for the Green Line LRT under the CN tracks.
  • Relocated deep and shallow utilities: sanitary, storm and feeder main lines conflicted with the tunnel location.
