Eau Claire Market and River Run Condos demolitions

Green Line officially took possession of Eau Claire Market and River Run Condos on June 1 and immediately secured the buildings as we waited to complete the procurement phase to select a contractor to complete the demolition work.

While demolition was set to begin in September, the Alberta government withdrew their funding commitment for Phase 1 of Green Line LRT project on September 3, 2024, and as a result the project is winding down.

The future of Eau Claire Market and any demolition plans are currently on hold.
