Geotechnical Drilling Along the SE Segment

Prior to main construction of the Green Line LRT, detailed geotechnical drilling is being completed to test and analyze ground conditions at specific locations along the alignment.

This work includes drilling approximately 160 boreholes along the SE Segment, which provides valuable data that is used to design elements like bridges and other structural components.
Over the past ten years, Green Line has drilled over 800 boreholes and test pits, providing critical information on soil conditions, bedrock and ground water levels before main construction begins.
With design continuing to advance and construction already underway in some areas of the alignment, the exact locations of stations, bridges, retaining walls and guideways are now known. The data provided from this latest round of drilling will support the final designs of all stations and structures for the Green Line.
