MSF Site Grading, Building Foundations and Utilities
The Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF) will serve as the operational backbone of the Green Line LRT, and this contract will deliver the early site, underground, and foundation works required to prepare the facility for vertical construction and long-term operations.
Scope of work
The scope of work includes comprehensive site grading and earthworks to prepare the area for construction. Activities will encompass stripping and cut‑and‑fill operations, earth stabilization, and rough and final grading of the building footprint. The work will also include the development of the Park and Ride area, hardscape zones, five drainage ponds, and retaining walls, establishing the base conditions required for the overall site layout and functionality.
Underground and foundation work will form another major component of the scope. This will include the installation of underground utilities such as yard services, traction power and duct banks, drainage and stormwater systems, grounding grids, and the relocation or protection of existing utilities. Building foundation activities will include subgrade preparation, cast‑in‑place concrete elements, embedded electrical and plumbing components, underground mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and the placement of anchor bolts for the primary structural steel—setting the groundwork for subsequent vertical construction.
