Ogden Road Realignment
To make way for the Green Line, Ogden Road S.E. will be realigned between the Canadian National Railway (CN) bridge and 69 Avenue S.E. The Green Line will run between the realigned roadway and the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) railway line. This project is a key step in preparing for the road realignment.
Throughout construction, access to Pop Davies Athletic Park will be maintained, along with vehicle, pedestrian, and cyclist access along Ogden Road S.E. and Millican Road S.E. The informal gravel parking on the west side of the existing Ogden Road will be permanently removed to make way for the new roadway.

- Installation of a water main and storm trunk line
- Construction of a multi-use pathway along the west side of Ogden Road

August 2026 Update
Work continues on the Ogden Road Realignment project, with major activities underway across the site, including installation of the underground stormwater storage tank, construction of a lock-block retaining wall and ongoing third-party utility relocations.
Installation of the stormwater storage tank is progressing within the future parking lot at the south end of Pop Davies Athletic Park. Located beneath the surface, the storage tank will capture and store rainwater, helping reduce flood risk by allowing water to gradually soak into the ground.
Construction of the lock-block retaining wall is also underway. The retaining wall will help support the future road alignment and surrounding infrastructure.
Storm trunk line installation remains in progress. Once complete, it will collect runoff from catch basins and manholes along Ogden Road and direct it to the underground stormwater storage tank.
Third-party utility companies continue to relocate infrastructure throughout the project area to accommodate future road and Green Line construction.
To support the recreation season, the contractor has adjusted the construction site layout at Pop Davies Athletic Park, including updated parking arrangements that help maintain access for park users while construction continues nearby.
