About the station

Quarry Park Station is located at 24 Street S.E. and Quarry Park Blvd, near the communities of Douglas Glen and Riverbend. It will connect people from neighbouring communities to amenities like the Remington YMCA and Quarry Park Library. As a transit hub, the station will also provide rapid transit connections to other destinations across the city.

The commercial/retail centre in Quarry Park is one of the largest employment centres along the line. It hosts several large corporations and head offices for companies like Imperial Oil. Having an LRT station in this area gives workers more options to travel to and from work.

Pedestrian and cycling connections around the station will also be improved, including a pedestrian crossing from the station across 24 Street S.E.

Alignment change

In 2015, the planned alignment was shifted 200m west from the landfill to be closer to the development in the Quarry Park area. The new alignment and station location offers improved access to existing development and enables future development on the reclaimed dry landfill sites to the east.

Long-term vision

Development on the reclaimed dry landfill sites may create interest for new commercial development in the area.

New development around Green Line stations

A new LRT station will spur development in this area. For a list of current planning applications near this station view The City's Development Map. Green Line works closely with the Planning & Development department on land use and development near future LRT stations. For more information visit Building, Planning & Business.
