Q&A with Sharon Fleming, Director of Calgary Transit

RouteAhead, the 30-year plan for Calgary Transit, was approved by City Council in July 2023. The focus of RouteAhead is to improve the Primary Transit Network, which is a permanent network of high-frequency corridors that have transit services operating every 10 minutes or less, at least 15 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Green Line will play a huge role in expanding the Primary Transit Network and will provide important connections to the existing LRT lines and rapid bus routes (MAX and BRT).

In late September 2023, we posted a call for questions about RouteAhead and the Green Line on our Instagram stories. More than 50 questions were submitted, which we grouped into themes and then asked these questions to Sharon Fleming, Director of Calgary Transit. Check out her answers in the video below.
