Business Feature - Off the Hook, From Sea to Land

Meet Kelly Latawsky, the heart behind Off the Hook – From Sea to Land in Ogden.

From juicy burgers to handmade perogies, Off the Hook specializes in Canadian comfort food. But it’s their signature fish and chips that keep Calgarians coming back for more.

"I put my heart and soul and love into every recipe that I have done for this restaurant," says Kelly.

This local favourite opened just over a year ago on June 10, 2025. To Kelly’s surprise there was overwhelming support from the community of Ogden, with a line extending down the street.

 

"I was outside, I was actually crying at the amount of people that had come through the door," says Kelly.

 

Just over a year later, Off the Hook continues to serve up popular eats, and it will only get easier to visit.   Located just minutes from the future Ogden Green Line station, the restaurant will soon be more accessible than ever for both customers and staff.

 

"With having the Green Line coming through, it just opens up a whole new diverse community for Ogden and people to explore," says Kelly.
