The 7 Avenue SW station will be located underground at approximately 7 Avenue S.W. and 2 Street S.W. Projected to be the busiest station along the Green Line, this station will serve as a key transfer hub between the Red and Blue lines, as well as provide connections to key destinations Downtown.

This station is close to Stephen Avenue Walk, numerous shopping and employment centres, Arts Commons, the New Central Library, and Devonian Gardens. It also connects to many important government services such as the Calgary Courts Centre and post-secondary institutions such as the University of Calgary Downtown campus, SAIT Culinary Campus, and Bow Valley College.

Long-term vision for the 7 Avenue S.W. Station

Located in the Centre City, the 7 Avenue S.W. Station will be a connection point to the city’s heart of downtown, which includes destinations like:

  • The Calgary Tower
  • Stephen Avenue Walk
  • Century Gardens, Olympic Plaza, and Devonian Gardens
  • The Glenbow Museum, Arts Commons and numerous downtown theatres

It will also provide Calgarians with an additional connection to:

  • other community amenities
  • educational opportunities and employment hubs.

Through this station, Calgarians will have direct access to downtown Calgary’s free fare zone along 7 Avenue S, the Red and Blue LRT Lines and some Bus Rapid Transit routes. They will also be able to connect with the downtown cycle track network and regional pathways.
