About the station

Shepard station is located near the community of Douglasdale, at 126 Avenue S.E. between Deerfoot Trail and 52 Street S.E. The station is just north of the South Trail Crossing Shopping Centre, a major shopping and entertainment destination in southeast Calgary. 

The station will be the southern end of Phase 1 of the Green Line. North of the station, a new Operations and Maintenance Facility will be built for Green Line’s low floor LRT fleet.

Upgraded sidewalks and multi-use pathways will improve walkability and cycling connections in the area. New pedestrian connections to and from Douglasdale will be allow people to safely cross Deerfoot Trail S.E.

Long-term vision

Plans for the area around Shepard station include a one million square foot office development, like Quarry Park.

New development around Green Line stations
