How to recycle small bathroom appliances

Take old and broken small bathroom appliances to an electronics recycling drop-off.

This is for personal care appliances that have a power cord or runs on a battery/charger. This includes:

  • Electric razors
  • Electric toothbrush
  • Curling irons, crimpers, hot rollers and curler sets
  • Flat iron and hair straighteners
  • Hair dryer
  • Beard trimmers
  • Electric hair clippers and trimmers
  • Oral irrigators (e.g. WaterPik)
  • Vanity mirror with lighting
  • Electric massagers
  • Automatic soap dispensers

Special instructions

  • If you take electronics to a landfill and bring other garbage in your load, landfill charges will apply.
  • Some restrictions apply. For full details, see Electronics Recycling program.
  • Do NOT put electronics in your blue cart as these items can damage the equipment at the recycling facility.
