How to dispose

There are two ways to dispose of asphalt depending on whether you have small or large quantities.

Small quantities of asphalt

  • Put into your black cart

Put small quantities of asphalt into your black cart as garbage.

  • Carts have a 60 kg weight limit. If you can easily roll your cart, it should be okay.
  • Make sure the lid of the cart can close.

Large quantities of asphalt

  • Take to a City Eco Centre

Take large quantities of asphalt to a City Eco Centre for disposal – charges will apply.

For businesses

If you are a business with asphalt to dispose of, it can only be accepted at East Calgary and Spyhill Eco Centre locations. See hours and locations here.
