How to dispose

There are two ways to dispose of drywall, cement and grout depending on whether you have small or large quantities.

Small quantities of drywall

  • Put into your black cart

Put small quantities of drywall, cement and grout into your black cart as garbage.

  • Carts have a 60 kg weight limit. If you can easily roll your cart, it should be ok.
  • Make sure the lid of the cart can close.

Large quantities of drywall

  • Take to a City Eco Centre

Take leftover drywall, wallpaper supplies, cement and grout from your home improvement project to a City Eco Centre for disposal – charges will apply.

  • If you bring a separated load of drywall only, a reduced rate is applied.

For businesses

If you are a business with drywall materials to dispose of, they can only be accepted at East Calgary and Spyhill Eco Centre locations. If you bring separated, clean loads of drywall, a reduced rate is applied. See hours and locations here.
