How to recycle Tetra Pak cartons
Examples of Tetra Pak cartons
This packaging may be labelled as Purepak containers or Tetra Pak containers. Some of these containers may have a screw top cap or flip-top lid for pouring.
- Soup and sauce cartons
- Broth cartons
- Liquid egg white cartons
- Tea concentrate cartons
- Molasses and sugar cartons
- Soap refill cartons
- Laundry and cleaning cartons

Put into your blue cart or take to a community recycling depot
Put empty and clean Tetra Pak cartons:
- Into your blue cart for recycling
- Take to a community recycling depot
While these cartons are similar to other beverage containers, they are not eligible for a bottle deposit, but you can still recycle in your blue cart.
Special instructions
- Rinse the cartons before recycling.
- Remove lids and put in the garbage.
