Community Cleanup events provide an opportunity for Calgarians to dispose of items that do not fit in their waste and recycling carts. They also support community residents who do not have access to cart service.
The application period to apply to host a Community Cleanup is January 15 to February 15, 2024.
All Community Cleanup events occur on Saturdays and Sundays throughout Calgary. The spring events begin on the weekend of April 27/28, and run through June 29/30. The fall events begin September 7/8 and run through September 28/29. Some events available over the summer with limited availability.
Please check each community’s website for more information regarding their specific event. An event schedule can be found below.
For each event, we will supply three packer trucks with crews and funds to assist with cleanup expenses. Please note that these events accept residential waste only.
