2022 Innovation Training Program
The City of Calgary is one of 13 international cities selected for the 2022 Innovation Training program by the Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at John Hopkins University.
The no-cost, year-long program helps each city find solutions to a challenge impacting its community. Working alongside a design coach, participants use case studies, lectures and hands-on training to learn innovative techniques and skills that can be turned into real world solutions.
We have chosen to focus our training program on new ways to keep youth talent in Calgary. Retaining talent serves as an economic driver for our community and supports the Youth and Community Spirit pillar of the Economic Resilience Task Force.
As part of this work, participants are engaging with community members to help inform the actions and solutions. Current engagement opportunities include interviews and co-design sessions.
This program is powered by The City of Calgary's Innovation Lab.
