The Glenmore Sailing School offers sailing lessons for junior and senior high school students in May, June and September on the Glenmore Reservoir. These quality learn to sail classes can be catered to the specific needs of your students.

About the program
Taught by Sail Canada certified instructors, our sailing lessons involve a minimum one hour of theory and the balance on practical lessons in the water. All required equipment and lifejackets are provided. The Glenmore Boat Patrol is located on site as the rescue and patrol boat.
All areas of basic sailing skills are taught:
- Boat components
- Terminology
- Knots
- Rigging
- Sail hoisting
- Steering
- Boat balance
- Sail adjustment
- Sailing upwind (tacking)
- Capsize procedures (simulation on dry land)
