Canada Day celebrations in Calgary
Canada Day 2026
On July 1, Calgarians and visitors are invited to gather downtown to celebrate Canada Day. This year’s free and family-friendly celebration features an Indigenous spotlight and powwow, live music and will end with a fireworks show above Stampede Park. Other attractions throughout the day include the Cultural Carousel, performances, face painting, a street fair and more. Stay tuned for more information.
Be part of our Canada Day celebrations
Call for food and beverage vendors
We are inviting food and beverage vendors to take part in our Canada Day celebrations. Selected vendors will operate at locations across the city, including Prince’s Island Park, The Confluence, Sien Lok Park, Municipal Plaza and along the RiverWalk.
Due to limited space, only one submission per food or beverage vendor will be accepted, with priority given to local vendors.
Applications are now closed.
Notification of application status will be delivered by Friday, May 29, 2026.
Call for volunteers
We could not produce events such as Canada Day without the help of our volunteers. We have a range of roles available to help make the day memorable and fun.
