Canada Day celebrations in Calgary

Canada Day 2023

On July 1, Calgarians and visitors will gather downtown to celebrate Canada Day. This year’s free and family-friendly event features an Indigenous showcase and powwow, live music, cultural performances, turban tying, street fair, fireworks and more! 

The complete Canada Day schedule will be released on June 19.

Fort Calgary

Home to the Indigenous showcase and powwow and Canada Day main stage with a lineup of all-Canadian musicians.

Olympic Plaza & Municipal Building

We could not produce events such as Canada Day without the help of our volunteers. Canada Day volunteer positions are available on July 1 at Fort Calgary, Olympic Plaza and St. Patrick’s Island. Click here to view a list of all available positions and submit an application.
