Canada Day celebrations in Calgary

Canada Day 2026

On July 1, Calgarians and visitors are invited to gather downtown to celebrate Canada Day. This year’s free and family-friendly celebration features an Indigenous spotlight and powwow, live music and will end with a fireworks show above Stampede Park. Other attractions throughout the day include the Cultural Carousel, performances, face painting, a street fair and more. Stay tuned for more information.

Call for food and beverage vendors

We are accepting applications from food and beverage vendors to take part in our Canada Day celebrations. Selected vendors will operate at locations across the city, including Prince’s Island Park, The Confluence, Sien Lok Park, Municipal Plaza and along the RiverWalk.

Due to limited space, only one submission per food or beverage vendor will be accepted, with priority given to local vendors.

Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026

Notification of application status will be delivered by Friday, May 29, 2026.
