Canada Day Main Stage Show
Join us at the new main stage at Prince’s Island Park for a free afternoon and evening of live music showcasing Canadian talent across genres starting 2 p.m.
Stay tuned for the main stage schedule.
Fireworks
Canada Day will end with a fireworks show at approximately 11 p.m. launched from Stampede Park.
The best viewing location for the fireworks is Max Bell Centre. The parking lot will be open for fireworks viewing only, with no other activities on site. Parking is limited, so consider walking or taking transit. Franklin and Barlow/Max Bell LRT stations are nearby.
Onsite viewing at Stampede Park will not be available due to set up of the 2026 Stampede and vehicle access into west Ramsay (Scotsman’s Hill) will also be restricted.

Getting around on Canada Day
Plan your trip for July 1. Free shuttle service connects all event sites and parking is free in ParkPlus on-street zones and Calgary Parking parkades. We encourage carpooling, using Calgary Transit, ride sharing, biking or e-scooters.
Free shuttle service
Get around easily using the free Canada Day shuttle, running continuously on July 1 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. between Eau Claire and East Village. Buses will arrive at each stop approximately every 15 minutes.

- 6 Ave. S.E. W/B between 5 St. S.E. and Confluence Way S.E.
- Riverfront Ave. S.E. W/B between 1 St. S.E. and Macleod Tr.
- Riverfront Ave. S.W. W/B between 1 St. S.W. and Centre St. S.
- 2 St. S.W. S/B between Riverfront Ave. S.W. and 2 Ave. S.W.
- 2 Ave. S.W. E/B between 6 St. S.W. and 5 St. S.W.
- Riverfront Ave. S.W. E/B between 1 St. S.W. and Centre St. S.
- Riverfront Ave. S.E. E/B between 1 St. S.E. and Macleod Tr.
Parking
On July 1, enjoy free parking in on-street ParkPlus zones and Calgary Parking parkades (with the exception of Lot 24 – Werklund Centre). Weekend rates apply at Werklund Centre parkade and surface lots. Please note regular rates will be in effect at partner lots, such as TELUS Spark, The Jubilee, Calgary Zoo and Heritage Park.

Road closures
For pedestrian and traffic safety, there will be road closures in these areas on July 1:
Eau Claire — 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Barclay Parade S.W. from 2 Ave. S.W.
- Road access will be restricted for most vehicles
- Sheraton Hotel guests will still be allowed during this period.
East Village — 6 a.m. to midnight
- 8 Ave. S.E. from 4 St. S.E. to 6 St. S.E.
- 6 St. S.E. from 8 Ave. S.E. to 9 Ave. S.E.
- 5 St. S.E. from 7 Ave. S.E. to 8 Ave. S.E.

No parking zones

- North side of Confluence Way S.E. between Riverfront Ave. S.E. and 6 St. S.E.
