Local business feature - KNOCKED Consignment

When Andrea found out that she was expecting her first baby with her partner in 2018, she knew that she would eventually have to search for a new wardrobe. With a strong sense of personal style, Andrea didn’t want to have to sacrifice her clothing tastes or put unnecessary strain on her wallet to purchase maternity outfits. Her journey to find maternity clothing with style turned out to be a difficult one, however, and it set her down a new path to start her own business.

With a second baby on the way and after a lot of encouragement from her loved ones, Andrea turned her dreams of good deals and stylish maternity clothing into a reality with KNOCKED, a consignment store tailored specifically to new and expectant mothers. The consignment store initially started as an online boutique but after just a few years in business, the shop was able to transition into a brick-and-mortar location in April 2021, just in time for Andrea’s third baby.

Located along phase 1 of the Green Line LRT route, KNOCKED is between three and four blocks away from both the planned 4 Street SE and Centre Street stations, making it incredibly easy to reach for Calgarians, expanding the store’s customer base significantly.

As part of the Green Line’s early work developments, utility construction has already begun along 12th Avenue between Olympic Way S.E. and 6 Street S.E. which has subsequently affected accessibility to the KNOCKED Consignment storefront. The Green Line team is committed to mitigating issues that come along with this and through our business registration program, we can give businesses like KNOCKED regular updates on any construction developments or changes in areas that directly affect them. The utility work along 12th Ave is expected to continue into fall 2022.
