Local business feature - Minas Brazilian Steakhouse

Located across from Green Line’s future Eau Claire station, Minas Brazilian Steakhouse offers a variety of traditional cuisine from the heart of Southeast Brazil. Minas has an array of hot and cold dishes for customers to sample before the traditional Brazilian rodizio feast begins.

This open-barbeque restaurant, where diners are served courses tableside on skewers, provides their customers with an entertaining and delicious dining experience. 

A family-run restaurant, Minas opened in 2015 and has adapted its traditional Brazilian steakhouse to offer a full dining experience – as well as catering and takeout for their customers. Recently, Green Line’s Business Support Program team began working closely with Minas to ensure that their restaurant is as minimally-impacted by local construction as possible, and that they have a loading zone on hand.

“The Green Line saw an opportunity to support us by helping us with a loading zone – it is really required with so many take-outs and helping patrons get to the restaurant,” explained Carolina Lopez, one of the owners of Minas. “We really appreciate that the Green Line has stepped up and communicated more with us.”

Carolina also added how having a permanent loading zone not only benefits Minas but can be shared with neighboring businesses as well.

With the construction of a future Green Line LRT station in Eau Claire, Calgarians can expect to have easier access to this unique Brazilian dining experience, as Carolina notes, “The fact that the Green Line will transport more people downtown, that is definitely going to help our business and others around us.”
