Youth Weight Room / Strength Training
All youth (13-15 years old) must complete two things before using the weight rooms (either with or without an adult) at our pools and leisure centres:
- Complete a Strength Training Waiver form.
- Complete a Weight Room Orientation course (registration fee applies). To learn when the next Weight Room Orientation is offered, register in person on-site or call the Customer Service Centre at 403-268-3800, option #1.
- OR -
Complete a fitness training session with a certified City of Calgary Personal Trainer (call 311 to speak with a Recreation Program Specialist at the facility of your choice).
Once completed, you will be issued a City of Calgary Youth Strength Training Sticker. You must present your sticker to be admitted into the weight room.
Weight Room Orientation is also available to those 16 years and older with any level of experience. The orientation is an opportunity to learn technique, movement and ask our knowledgeable staff questions.
