Calgary Food Bank Hamper Program

You must call ahead to book a hamper before picking it up. Once you have been approved, volunteers will book you a specific time to pick-up your hamper.

Hampers can be picked up at our main location (5000 11 St. S.E.) or one of our satellite locations. Specialty hampers available: renal, infant, celiac and prenatal.

Alex Community Food Centre

Free Meal to Go Program on Friday mornings from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. Get a healthy frozen meal, fresh salad kit and fruit for you and your family.

Bi-weekly Affordable Produce Market every other Wednesday. Purchase fresh fruit, vegetables and more at a deeply discounted price and grab a free meal to go created by the Alex Community Food Centre kitchen team.

The Salvation Army Community Services

Bread Market for Seniors

The Kerby Centre hosting a socially distanced Bread Market for Seniors. Bread as well additional rescued food items are available.

The Bread Market is hosted at the Kerby Centre’s gymnasium area and is following all COVID guidelines.

Tuesdays and Fridays, 10:30 am-12:30 pm. No need to register, just drop-in.

Low-cost boxes of fruits and vegetables are available for pick-up to all Calgarians. Boxes are available in three sizes:

  • Small (20 - 25 pounds) = $25

  • Large (40 – 45 pounds) = $35

Meals on Wheels​

Free delivery available within Calgary city limits. Pick up option is available. Payment is required online at the time of ordering; payment at the door is not available. Volunteers will continue to leave meals at clients’ doors or in a cooler, if provided.
