Historic Firehall #1 Courtyard Activation Grant

Creating a cultural hub in downtown Calgary

Applications are now closed.

Help bring new life to Historic Firehall #1

We are inviting arts and cultural groups to help turn the Historic Firehall #1 courtyard (104 6 Avenue SE) into a vibrant community space this summer. Grants are available to support community‑led projects that offer inclusive, family‑friendly activities that are free or low-cost.

We’re looking for single‑day or multi‑day events — whether they run once, on consecutive days, or recur over time — as long as they take place in the courtyard between June 1 and September 30.

This grant is in collaboration with cSPACE as part of the project to transform the Historic Firehall #1 and neighbouring North-West Travellers Building into an arts and culture hub.
