The Event Technical Services (ETS) Department is a core component of the Festival and Events industry of the City of Calgary. Temporary event sites require vast amounts of infrastructure and efforts to erect tents, stages, and other festival equipment.

About the job
Gain experience working within and understanding the systems of working with the City. The City of Calgary is involved in many special events, including the City of Calgary's Canada Day, the City of Calgary's New Year's Eve fireworks, and many more.
Duties include:
- Work as part of a team to set up and take down special event equipment, including the construction and disassembly of tents and stages.
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients and partners by assessing and fulfilling their needs through on-the-ground consultation.
- Work onsite in parks and venues around the city.
- Perform inventory counts, maintain inventory items and prepare materials for events.
The following are considered to be assets:
- Current Standard First Aid certification
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) level "C" certification
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification
- Current Fall Protection certification
- Experience in event industry
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) and access to a personal vehicle for business use
